Altitude and Bouygues join forces to accelerate the diversified services group’s adaptation to climate change

Paris, 8th October 2025 – Altitude, AXA Climate’s scientific platform for climate change adaptation, has announced a strategic partnership with Bouygues Group. Altitude will be rolled out across four of the Group’s subsidiaries – Colas, Bouygues Construction, Bouygues Immobilier and Equans – to strengthen their ability to adapt to the growing effects of climate change.

Initially designed for institutional investors, Altitude has quickly become a reference tool for all economic players facing the climate emergency. Based on solid scientific data and the IPCC’s latest projections, the solution enables to:

  • assess the vulnerability of sites and assets to climate risks (heatwaves, flooding, water stress, etc.),
  • define adaptation strategies tailored to local, sectoral and operational specificities,
  • meet regulatory reporting requirements, in particular within the framework of the CSRD directive (double materiality matrix, ESRS E1 and E4).

Altitude combines vulnerability assessments, scenario modelling, operational recommendations and a range of concrete solutions to provide companies with the tools to manage their adaptation effectively and sustainably.

Bouygues is a diversified services group founded in 1952, with a presence in more than 80 countries and over 200,000 employees. Its business activities – construction, energies and services, telecoms and media – meet essential customer needs and are constantly evolving. In 2024, the group’s total revenue was €56 billion.

Climate adaptation – a strategic lever

As climate risks intensify and regulatory requirements become stricter, this approach positions adaptation as a driver of performance and innovation for businesses.

Bouygues Group will use the Altitude platform to identify levers for enhancing its operational resilience, integrate adaptation criteria into the design phase of its solutions, and demonstrate its long-term project expertise to clients.

This collaboration reflects a shared ambition: to shift from a reactive mindset to an anticipatory, structured approach that is consistent with scientific knowledge and the regulatory framework.

Marie-Luce Godinot, Senior Vice-President, Innovation, Sustainable Development and Information Systems at the Bouygues Group, declares: ‘The deployment of Altitude by AXA Climate is fully aligned with our environmental strategy, of which one of the key pillars focuses on strengthening the adaptation solutions provided to our stakeholders. This initiative, coordinated by the Group, will address an important need for our businesses, while the comprehensive and versatile tool will enhance the efficiency and synergy of analysing challenges related to climate change adaptation, biodiversity and water.’

Théophile Bellouard, Head of Altitude by AXA Climate, comments: ‘We are very proud to join forces with Bouygues Group, a renowned multi-sector player that is fully committed to integrating climate issues into its business activities. Bouygues is a long-standing partner, and the company has been actively involved in our beta testing programme, which aims to refine the platform’s features by adapting them to concrete and complex use cases. This partnership perfectly embodies our mission: to provide tools designed with and for industry players in order to accelerate adaptation.’
