At Eiffel, we currently manage more than €7 billion, divided between two main strategies:

What are your main challenges when it comes to assessing climate and biodiversity risks?

We face three main challenges:

1. Granular and detailed analysis : We finance portfolios with many projects, sometimes 10 or 100, across multiple locations. Precise measurements based on exact addresses and GPS coordinates are essential.
2. Developing actionable plans : We don’t just want to measure risks; we need a tool that helps us implement adaptation measures.
3. Reporting at portfolio level : We need to aggregate measurements and report them efficiently to clients. Altitude allows us to do this effectively.

How does Altitude help you address these challenges?

Altitude enables Eiffel managers to perform climate and biodiversity risk analyses on every investment. At Eiffel, managers handle both financial and extra-financial analysis themselves, without a dedicated ESG team, so we need a tool that is easy to use for non-experts — Altitude perfectly fits this need.

The platform allows managers to:

Concrete example: hydrogen production infrastructure

Hydrogen production is highly water-intensive. Using the Altitude tool, we identified potential water stress risks that could threaten production in the coming years.

Thanks to Altitude, we:

– Identified adaptation measures,
– Engaged with the counterparty during the pre-investment phase,
– Developed a concrete action plan to mitigate this risk.

This allowed us to proceed with the investment while reducing exposure to previously unknown risks.
